- Home insurance: A home insurance policy covers the structure of your home, your personal belongings, and other structures on your property if damage or loss is caused by a covered peril such as fire, hurricanes, wind damage and others.

How Can I Know if an Item is Covered?
Our contracts are designed to be read easily. Each is organized into major categories such as ductwork, plumbing, water heater, etc. This can also helps homeowners troubleshoot problems before calling to file a claim. How Are Claims Filed?
Claims can be filed 24/7/365 directly on our website, or by contacting our customer service team by phone. Our Customer Service Representatives have instant access to our database of service providers and will get the claims process started immediately.
What if the Appliances and Systems are Old?
HWA covers older and newer homes. There are no age restrictions on appliances or equipment. The covered appliance or system simply has to be in proper working order on the effective date of the contract.**
What is Premium Coverage?
Premium Coverage is an optional coverage for parts and equipment that aren't covered by typical home warranty contracts. For example, dishwasher racks, baskets, rollers and door seals are not typically covered by a standard home warranty, but if you have premium coverage they are. What is GreenPlus?
HWA introduced the first-in-the-industry green home warranty option in 2008. With GreenPlus optional coverage in place, certain covered events may result in appliances being replaced with ENERGY STAR-certified models, which are among the most energy efficient appliances available.
What Appliances are Covered in GreenPlus?
Currently, dishwashers, refrigerators, washing machines, water heaters and furnaces are eligible for ENERGY STAR-certified replacements under the GreenPlus program. Always refer to your contract for the latest details.
